BIKE AND PERSONAL EQUIPMENT Requirements
The course is designed to suit a basic well maintained off-road bicycle. Cross country and trail mountain bikes, cyclocross bikes or gravel bikes are suitable. The road hillclimb prologue on Saturday (stage 1 of the enduro) is the only significant section of road on the entire route and riders competing in the enduro are must ride this on the bike they intend to race the gravel enduro on if they wish their time to count. Riders will be allowed to change wheels for more suitable road wheels if they see fit.
Riders should use the same frame and fork during the event.
Bikes may be scrutinised before departing to ride the course.
All bikes must have bar plugs and be in perfect working order.
All bikes must have a front brake and a means to slow down the rear wheel. For most bikes with a free wheel this will mean using a rear brake. However, certain hill climb bikes may have a fixed gear, in which case no rear brake is required.
The race directors have the right to deny entry to the event if they feel a bike is not of a suitable standard.
